Here is a breakdown of the roofing products we recommend & use on every project.
This is what gives us 5-Year install warranty backed by 20+ years material guarantee.
GAF Lifetime Roofing System
- Main Application -
WeatherWatch Ice & Water Leak Barrier
Material
Asphalt

Leak barriers (often referred to as waterproofing membrane) are applied beneath the roofing material to prevent water from leaking into a building. It is especially important in flat roofs or areas prone to heavy rainfall.
These barriers can be self-adhesive or mechanically fastened and are used to seal the roof deck & protect against leaks caused by rain, snow, or ice.
FT Synthetics - Silver Grade Underlayment

crucial component in roofing systems, acting as a secondary layer of protection underneath the primary roofing material (like shingles, tiles, or metal panels). It serves several important functions to help extend the life of the roof and provide additional protection against the elements.
GAF ProStart Starter Strips
Material
Asphalt
Usage
Essential component in a roofing system, particularly when installing asphalt shingles or other types of shingles.
It serves as the first layer of shingles applied along the edge of the roof, providing several critical functions that help ensure the roof’s durability, water resistance, and overall effectiveness.
GAF Timberline HDZ Shingles
Material
Asphalt
Usage
One of the most commonly used materials for covering roofs, providing both aesthetic appeal & functional protection.
Roof shingles are designed to protect a building from the elements; especially rain, snow, and wind—while also adding to the overall appearance of the structure.
GAF Seal-A-Ridge Capping

Installation
Q: How much does an average roof replacement cost?
A: From our experience & records a typical roof replacement in the Niagara region is about $5,000 - $7, 500 depending on various factors. You can get a rough estimate with our calculator found here.
Q: What factors make a roof replacement difficult?
A: Slope size, height of roof, valleys, dormers & crossovers, also location can all impact the pricing of a roof replacement.
Q: Why is ventilation important & how do I know if it is properly vented?
A: Signs of inadequate roof ventilation include excessive heat in the attic, condensation, mold growth, and shingle damage. A typical rule of thumb for our Pro Vent product is every 4 ft. along the top of the roof. To fix this, we can cut in more vents if it is found that the ventilation is poor.
Q: What are the advantages of asphalt shingle roofing?
A: Asphalt shingle roofing is cost-effective, versatile, and relatively easy to install. It provides good durability against various weather conditions & comes in a wide range of colors and styles to suit different architectural designs.
Q: What are the various roofing materials used?
A: There are quite a bit of various materials that can be used in roofing applications, each with their advantages & drawbacks.
Flat roofing: Installed @ 0/12 to 3/12 slopes
Composite/Laminate/Asphalt: 3/12 to Mansard Wall
Metal Roof: 1/12 to 12/12+
Others: The industry is constantly growing & newer applications are being introduced with little to no data.
- Season -
Q: When is Alpha Co.'s season to complete a roof replacement?
A: We operate year round, although have to charge accordingly during colder months to compensate assistance.
Q: When is the ideal time of year to replace a roof?
A: The perfect time of year to replace a roof is during the Spring or Fall months so it's not cold to work but more importantly the shingles don't tear from the heat as we maneuver around the rooftop.
- Insurance -
Q: Are roof repairs covered by insurance in Ontario?
A: Roof repairs may be covered by insurance in Ontario if the damage is due to an insurable event, such as a storm or fire. It’s important to review your insurance policy and contact your insurance provider to determine coverage.
Q: How do I apply to get my roof covered under insurance?
A: Follow this guide from Forbes:
https://www.forbes.com/advisor/homeowners-insurance/roof-damage/
- Products -
Q: Which products do you use?
A: You can view the products we use here:
https://www.alpha-co.ca/forum/questions-answers/roofing-products
Q: Do you offer different tiers of service?
A: Alpha Co. quotes at an economic advantage, still providing you with a 5-Year install warranty & 20+ material warranty for a cheaper option. Clients can increase the quality of roof through the shingle used, underlayment or drip edge & even down to the vents used.
Life Expectancy
Q: When is the ideal amount of damage to replace a roof?
A: Even though a roof is warrantied to last 20-25 years with certain products, we recommend replacing 2-3 years prior to reduce maximum amount of potential damage or if you see a whole side of roof with severe weather damage & tear.
Q: How do I know when a roof needs to be replaced?
A: Warning signs that your roof may need replacement include curling or missing shingles, significant granule loss, granule build up in the eavestrough, frequent leaks, sagging roof deck and signs of age or deterioration.
Q: What are the common causes of roof damage?
A: Common causes of roof damage include severe weather, aging materials, poor installation, lack of maintenance, and falling debris.
Q: How long is the roof expected to last?
A: We warranty 5-Year install & the products we use guarantee 20+ years.

So what are you waiting for? Take advantage of this to get back some of your personal time!
Visit the Lawns for Lives quarterly release to check if you have been selected.
*Please note only Hero's & Alpha Co.'s Owner can visit the raffle for security & privacy reasons.*
